OVERVIEW
The Embry-Riddle Alumni Awards Program recognizes alumni achievements and accomplishments in their careers or through their service to the university or fields of aviation and aerospace.
An Alumni Awards Dinner will be held annually during Homecoming and OctoberWest weekend. All recipients will be invited to attend the dinner at either residential campus of their choice.
This year, the
Prescott Campus Alumni Awards Dinner will be held during OctoberWest weekend, Oct. 3-5
, 2013. Stay tuned for more information about the
Daytona Beach Campus awards, which will be presented during Embry-Riddle's Alumni Weekend Nov. 7-9, 2013

AWARD CATEGORIES
Alumni Service Award:
awarded to an individual who continuously demonstrates an extraordinary level of selfless commitment and endless enthusiasm for the University through, but not limited to, service, support, leadership and recruitment.
Alumni Achievement Award:
awarded to an individual who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the Aviation and Aerospace Industry through personal and professional success.
Military Achievement Award:
awarded to ERAU alumni that have achieved outstanding success in the military.
Outstanding Young Alumnus/a Graduate of the Last Decade:
awarded to the young alumnus/a who has graduated within the past decade and has excelled in their field of endeavor, achieving professional success above and beyond their peers, and/or has served their community and university selflessly.
Alumni Volunteer Award:
awarded in recognition of alumni whose contributions to their profession/industry, and/or the community at-large go above and beyond average. This award honors the efforts of alumni that directly impact individuals, their community, or their profession/industry through the volunteering of their time, talent and/or resources for the greater good.
Philanthropy Award:
awarded to an alumnus/a who has demonstrated a high level of commitment to the university through philanthropic contributions and involvement in the direction of their gift. Nominated by Embry-RiddleFaculty or Staff.
NOMINATION RULES
Nominee must have an undergraduate or graduate degree from Embry-Riddle.
Nominations must be received by the Office of Alumni Relations by July 31, 2013.
The person making the nomination must complete the nomination form entirely.
A nominator may nominate more than one person, but they should designate exactly one category per nominee.The nominator does not need to be a graduate of the university.
Self-nominations are
not
accepted.
Alumni awards will be presented during the annual Daytona Beach and Prescott Campus Homecoming weeks. Award winners must be present to receive the award and will be responsible for their own travel arrangements.
Alumni cannot receive the same award multiple times, nor should they receive multiple awards within a five year period.
The Office of Alumni Relations will inform the nominators if their submission is not chosen and will encourage them to resubmit, or update and resubmit, the following year with the new nomination forms. All nominations will be kept on file for three years after the initial nomination.
All contact with the nominee will occur through the nominator and the Office of Alumni Relations. The nominee will only be contacted by the Office of Alumni Relations if they have been selected to receive an award.
Nominations for the Philanthropy Award will be submitted by Embry-Riddle faculty and/or staff members.
