Jeff Bourk ('95, DB) appointed as Airport Executive Director

Branson, MO (October 1, 2007) - Branson Airport, LLC, the organization building the new commercial airport in Branson, Missouri, announced today the appointment of Jeffrey P. Bourk ('95, DB) as the new Executive Director of the Airport. Mr. Bourk has significant aeronautical and airport management experience. Mr. Bourk has over 15 years of aviation experience, and since 2003 has been serving as Deputy Airport Director at Portland (ME) International Jetport, where he managed all airport operations, and was Portland International’s key executive responsible for attracting new air service. Mr. Bourk, a licensed pilot, has a degree in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and has been designated an Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives.

Steve Peet, Branson Airport, LLC’s CEO, stated, “We are thrilled to have an Executive Director with Jeff’s experience not only in airport operations, but also with a great track record in attracting the kind of quality air service we expect to bring to the new airport in Branson. We believe Jeff has the critical combination of high energy level, organization skills, and entrepreneurial instincts needed for our airport business and airport staff development efforts.”

Mr. Bourk said about the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director at the first privately developed commercial airport in the United States, “The Branson opportunity is different from any airport in the country, and I’m pleased that Steve and his Board have placed their confidence in me. Branson is such an exciting growth area, in desperate need of a nearby airport that can support leisure fare service from around the country.”

Mr. Bourk will be starting with Branson Airport LLC on October 11, and will have significant involvement in the remainder of the planning, staffing, and FAA/TSA regulatory clearance processes actively underway, as airport construction continues in anticipation of the scheduled May, 2009 opening. Jeff will reside in Branson with his wife Michelle, also a licensed corporate pilot, and their 3-year old daughter Katie.
