<< BackMark Your Calendar for OctoberWest Festivities
Alumni will have plenty of OctoberWest homecoming action to choose from with several socials, a job fair, eagleNIGHT festivities, the Alumni Awards Dinner and alumni soccer and volleyball competitions against current students. All graduates, regardless of campus affiliation, are welcome to Embry-Riddle’s western campus activities on Oct. 4-6.
Homecoming kicks off with the Industry Career Expo, said Bill Thompson, alumni relations director for the Prescott Campus. “This will be a great time to look for new opportunities and reconnect with others in the industry.”
Alumni can follow up on their connections from the job fair at eagleNIGHT on Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Firehouse Kitchen in Downtown Prescott. Located one block from Whiskey Row, eagleNIGHT will feature great music, excellent food, and a unique venue to meet old friends and make new ones. The next morning, alumni are invited to the annual golf tournament at Talking Rock on Friday, Oct. 5. OctoberWest activities continue that evening with the Alumni Awards Dinner. One of the highlights this year will be the ring ceremony for the National Champion NIFA Golden Eagles. All past and current members are encouraged to attend. Saturday morning is the time to mix and mingle at the flight line at the annual Fly-In Breakfast and Brunch, where Embry-Riddle will have a static aircraft display and Embry-Riddle jet dragster demonstration, among other activities.
OctoberWest wraps up with the homecoming celebration with the first ever Texas Hold ‘Em tournament and OctoberWest Festival at the activity center on Saturday evening. “Beer, brats, poker, table games and great prizes will be the theme of the night,” Thompson said. “Everything comes to an end with the annual fireworks display. Events on Saturday night are free for alumni and friends.” For more information visit the eaglesNEST or call (928) 777-4200.
