President Visits Phoenix

Approximately 40 alumni and friends gathered at the Sheraton Hotel Downtown Phoenix on Sept 30.  Michele Berg, Executive Director Alumni Relations, Dan Montplaisir, Vice President Institutional Advancement, Dr. John Johnson, University President, and Rob Wilson, President Business and General Aviation Honeywell Aerospace all addressed the attendees. President Johnson presented Mr. Wilson with an award of appreciation for speaking at the event and supporting Embry-Riddle alumni. Mr. Wilson’s address focused on the state of the aviation industry in light of our current economic times and new legislation. Before and after his address, alumni had the opportunity to ask Mr. Wilson questions directly and speak with him about industry-related issues.

President Johnson will visit alumni in select cities during upcoming Presidential Tours. During these receptions, alumni have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Johnson, as well as a local industry leader, and discuss key issues facing them today.
